Why switch

Paper logs cost you more than paper

Missed checks, lost booklets and a scramble every time the council visits. EasyOps takes the daily food safety paperwork off your plate.

Save time every shift

Quick checks on any phone, with the limits shown on the form. No booklets to find, fill in or file.

Know when a check is missed

Overdue checks are flagged straight away, so you fix gaps today, not when an officer finds them.

Catch temperature problems early

Out-of-limit readings are recorded with the corrective action and a photo, as part of the same record.

Find any record in seconds

Customer complaint or EHO visit? Filter by date, site, form or staff member and export it on the spot.

Records you can trust

Every entry shows who did it and when, and staff can't change a record once it's submitted.

See every site from anywhere

Run the same checks at every location and see compliance across all of them on one dashboard, even when you're off-site.

How it works

We set it up. Your team just uses it.

No templates to build and no app to configure. Most kitchens are up and running in hours.

What the rules require

Food safety records in Australia

National rules
Under Standard 3.2.2A, cafés, restaurants, caterers and takeaways preparing ready-to-eat, potentially hazardous food need a Food Safety Supervisor, trained food handlers and records of their key food safety checks.
Digital records
Records can be kept electronically and should be kept for at least 3 months. Your council may ask for more.

In Victoria?

Class 2 food businesses

Restaurants, cafés, takeaways, pubs and caterers are usually class 2 and keep a food safety program on site. EasyOps forms follow the records in the state's FoodSmart template, so they look familiar to your council.

Butcher, manufacturer or on a non-standard program? We set your forms up to match yours.

Who it's for

Built for kitchens that can't afford a missed check

Especially useful when you run more than one site, cater off-site or can't be in every kitchen every day. Support runs during Australian business hours from our team in New Zealand, a couple of hours ahead of the east coast.

EasyOps is an independent software provider and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Food Standards Australia New Zealand, the Victorian Department of Health or any council. Forms are guidance aids and should be reviewed against your own food safety program and local requirements.

Multi-site groups & QSR Same checks at every site, one dashboard
Caterers Receiving, cooling and transport records in one place
Cafés & restaurants Daily checks done on a phone, not a booklet
Bakeries, delis & pubs Storage, cleaning and supplier checks
FAQ

Food safety questions

Can I keep my food safety records digitally in Australia?
Yes. Food Standards Australia New Zealand states that records can be kept in any form, including electronic. Records should show the date (and time where relevant) and the food or activity they relate to. EasyOps adds the date, time and staff member to every entry automatically.
Does EasyOps support Standard 3.2.2A record-keeping?
Yes. Standard 3.2.2A asks businesses preparing ready-to-eat, potentially hazardous food to show they safely receive, store, process, display and transport food, and clean and sanitise. The example forms on this page cover those daily records.
How long do I need to keep food safety records?
At least 3 months under Standard 3.2.2A. Records in EasyOps stay in your account and can be exported at any time. Your council or food safety program may ask for longer, so check your local requirements.
Does it work with Victoria's FoodSmart template?
Yes. Our forms follow the records in Victoria's standard food safety program template, including suppliers, storage temperatures, cooking temperatures and thermometer accuracy. If you use a non-standard program, we set the forms up to match yours.
Does it cover the Food Safety Supervisor and food handler training?
You can keep staff training records in EasyOps with expiry reminders. The training itself and your Food Safety Supervisor certificate come from a registered training organisation.
Can staff use their own phone? Do I need internet?
Staff can use any phone, tablet or computer. EasyOps runs in the browser with no app store download, and an internet connection is needed to complete and save records.
How long does setup take?
Most teams are set up in hours. Send us your current records and we build your forms for your sites, menu and equipment.
How much does EasyOps cost in Australia?
EasyOps is priced per site. Book a short call and we will confirm pricing for your sites. Every plan starts with a free 15-day trial, no credit card required.
